Tyson's Corner's Caring Staff

Our staff is committed to the vision and mission of Tyson's Corners Retreat and Wellness Center. We strive to serve our communities with the gifts and talents uniquely gifted to each of us. Providing a safe and accepting environment is a priority to us.

Joanna Tyson Dunlap, Owner/Director
Following in her parents' footsteps, Joanna runs the day to day operations of Tyson's Corners. Upholding the founding principles that her parents instilled early on for Tyson's Corners is her focus, as she works to help lead the center's efforts to meet the needs of her military family and Central Texas community members.
In 2008, Joanna founded the center’s Equine Assisted Learning program, and has been actively working in the equine assisted therapy field for 11 years. She has received her training and/or certification from organizations such as Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association and Natural Lifemanship. She works along side licensed therapists as well as facilitates her own coaching of individuals, couples, families and groups through equine assisted learning. She brings over 35 years of horsemanship experience to the center's equine program as horsemanship instructor and equine trainer. As a personal development facilitator, Joanna is committed to helping others find healing and restoration through personal, relationship, and spiritual development. Connecting humans and horses is a gift she cares deeply for, and she loves to share it with others seeking their own growth and maturity through the horse/human connection.
