Experiential learning grounded in presence, relationship and care.

Equine -assisted learning at Tyson's Corners Retreat Center offers organizations and teams an opportunity to step away from familiar environments and engage in learning that is experiential, relational, and grounded in the present moment.

This work invites participants to slow down, observe, listen, and respond - not only to one another, but to themselves, the horses, and the environment around them.  Learning unfolds through guided experiences that emphasize awareness, communication, and relationship, rather than performance or outcome.

The equine- assisted learning experiences offered here are shaped by decades of work in trauma-aware and relationship-based practice with both people and horses.  Horses participate as sentient partners in the process, never as tools or instruments for a prescribed result.

Activities are conducted on the ground and do not involve riding.  The well-being of the horses is always prioritized, with careful attention given to consent, regulation, and respectful interaction throughout each experience.

Equine - assisted learning at Tyson's Corners is well suited for:
  • Leadership teams and organizations
  • Ministries and nonprofit groups
  • Educators and facilitators
  • Groups seeking deeper connection and clarity
Set within the quiet of the Texas Hill Country, Tyson's Corners provides a calm, supportive environment that naturally encourages presence and reflection.  The land, the horses, and the unhurried pace of the property all contribute to learning that feels grounded and authentic.

This setting allows teams to engage differently - away from distractions, roles, and expectations - creating space for insight, conversation, and growth.

Equine - assisted learning at Tyson's Corners is not about forcing change.  It is about creating space for awareness, connection, and understanding to emerge.
